Community Bike Event with Audubon New York Young Members

·         Audubon New York Young Members invite you to attend a one hour introduction course on bike riding in New York City, including a :30 minute bike themed cross training workout.

·         Bicycle enthusiasts Emilia Crotty from the Department of Transportation’s NYC Bicycle Share and Kristin Kenney from Equinox Fitness, will talk about the importance of cycling safety, bike sharing basics, navigating New York City bike routes and cardiovascular fitness.

New York has over 280 miles of bike lanes and will soon offer bike-sharing. In an effort to move the city toward sustainability and on a path to a renewable energy future, the Audubon New York Young Members have partnered with NYC Bicycle Share, trainer Kristin Kenney and national outdoor retailer REI to create a one hour introduction class on bike riding in New York City. Join us for this complimentary class to learn the ins and outs of riding safely and effectively in the city!

Emilia Crotty will talk to the group about the importance of cycling safety, bike sharing basics, and navigating New York City bike routes in a fun and informative session. Fitness trainer Kristin Kenney will then lead the class through a 5-step cross training workout themed for competitive cyclists followed by a cool down and cycling/fitness Q&A.
