The Oshkosh Area SHRM Chapter is comprised of professional individuals accountable for human resource management, and  administration of human resource functions.  Membership in this chapter is limited to those professionals who are engaged in or have a  bona fide interest in human resource management and represent both private and public sector employment.  Membership acceptance will  be reviewed on an individual basis. Membership is not transferable. 

Membership Categories and Qualifications

Professional Member
Professional membership shall be limited to those individuals who are engaged as one or more of the  following: (a) practitioners of human resource management where human resources function occupy at least 50% of their time  (b) certified  by the Human Resource Certification Institute; (c) faculty members holding an assistant, associate or full professor rank in human resource  management or any of its specialized functions at an accredited college or university ; (d) Employment / Labor Law attorneys where at  least 50% of their time is occupied in advising clients on matters relating to the human resource profession. Professional members may vote  and hold office in the chapter. National SHRM membership is strongly encouraged.

Associate Member
Individuals who do not meet the professional member requirements but have a bona fide interest in human  resource management.  Membership may include; consultants, suppliers, retired human resource professionals, and employed or non employed persons. Associate members shall not have voting rights and shall not hold office. National SHRM membership is preferred.

Student Member
Individuals who are enrolled either as full-time or part-time students who can demonstrate emphasis in course  study of human resource management or a related degree program.  Student members shall not have voting rights and shall not hold office.

Dues Information

Dues are established by the Board of Directors prior to the first regular meeting of each year, and presented to the membership.  Payment of  dues entitles the individuals to all services and privileges of the Oshkosh Area Society for Human Resource Management.  Annual dues are payable on or before January 1st , of each year.   

Regular Annual Membership Dues 

Membership does not expire until December 31, 2012. 

Meeting Information

Monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month.  The Board of Directors coordinates meeting and speaker activities relative to applicable and timely subject content.  Meeting times will vary from breakfast or lunch, depending on the program.
