“Investment and Energy Saving Opportunities in Variable Flow Systems” - TA Hydronic College

This seminar is brought to you by Victaulic and presented by TA.

Attendees will benefit from a detailed presentation regarding savings opportunities in variable systems. Topics to be covered include those listed below.

• Production Units. Examine the components, efficiencies and operating requirements of equipment like chillers and boilers.
• Terminal Units. Review specifics of variable flow in terminal units and room temperature control. Focus on global control characteristic curves and factors allowing stable and accurate control.  
• Variable Speed Pumps. Discuss solutions involving various control modes. Dp sensor locations and multiple sensors compared and analyzed against their impact on system controllability. Examine the optimal use of Dp control to increase energy savings and provide stable and accurate control.
• Primary-Secondary vs Variable Primary Flow. Discuss and compare the hydronic design of these systems. Analyze critical issues including hydronic interactivity between chillers and sizing of the bypass line and control valve.

Seminar includes a technical presentation followed by Q&A that qualifies participants for 3.5 professional development hours (PDHs). A certificate of completion will be handed out at the end of the seminar.
