Business Continuity Management isn't just about BIAs, Risk Management, Planning and Testing for events that we all hope will never happen.

There is a more practical and bottom line side to BCM including i
mproving Availability, Reducing Costs and promoting Green IT through Storage Optimization.

Our next BCM SIG is shaping up to be a interesting and informative round table led by Sungard, our sponsor. Hear from the Consulting Solutions group from SunGard Availability Services Canada. As a member of the Business Continuity Institute, Sungard has delivered Business Continuity and Advanced Recovery solutions across all business verticals over the past 9 years.

Come out and learn what you can do to promote or action Storage Optimization as part of your overall BCM program. Bring along your own ideas and challanges and table them for discussion. There will be something for both technical and non technical practitioners alike.

Our session leader is Rino Iannotta, Rino is the Vice President of Consulting Services for SunGard Availability Services in Canada.  In his role, Rino’s delivery team has responsibility for assisting customers in assessing, designing, implementing and maintaining dynamic Business Continuity and IT Availability Programs that meet business requirements.

Specifically, Rino has worked with dozens of customers to:

  • Identify business risks, impacts and business issues to establish program foundations;
  • Designed and implemented Business Continuity and High Availability solutions to mitigate business risks and exposures
  • Create Testing and Change Management programs to increase program success and protect client investments

Rino has over a decade of experience in the Business Continuity industry knowledge combined with a technical and consultative background.
