Course
Description:
This
comprehensive 1-day injectable dermal filler training provides participants
with basic & updated knowledge, injection techniques and protocols for the
most popular dermal filler applications. Allergan (company that sells JuvedermTM)
and Medicis (company that sells Restylane) both recognize Certification by
ELITE for the purpose of product purchase. Elite Aesthetic Medical
Training will provide both didactic and extensive hands-on training, which will
allow medical professionals to immediately incorporate these aesthetic
procedures into a new or existing practice. Dermal fillers used during
the hands-on work-shop are Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra Plus, Restylane,
Perlane and Radiesse. Participants will receive course manuals, sample consent
and treatment forms, a resource list, promotional materials, and a Certificate
of Training upon completion of the course.
Program
Objectives:
- Address the growing US market for aesthetic
procedures, in particular injectable dermal fillers, and how you may
capitalize on this demand.
- Discuss the history of dermal fillers.
- Review the etiology of the aging face.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of facial anatomy
and physiology as it applies to facial aesthetics.
- Discuss various types of dermal fillers: temporary
fillers, semi-permanent and permanent fillers.
- Discuss the filler materials: Collagen products
(Zyderm, Zyplast, Cosmoderm, Cosmoplast, Evolence), hyaluronic acid
products (Juvederm, Restylane, Perlane, Captique, Hylaform and others),
calcium hydroxyapatite products (Radiesse), polymethylmethacrylate
(Artefill) products, and synthetic products (Cellulose, BioAlcamid,
Bioinblue)
- Discuss fillers working by fibroplasias: Artefill,
Radiesse, Silicone and Poly-L-Lactic acid.
- Learn about necessary supplies, proper storage, safety,
and handling of dermal fillers.
- Describe the cosmetic indications and contraindications
of the various dermal fillers.
- Learn the basic indications and different injection
techniques applied to the face, including treatment of the nasolabial and
labiomental folds and lip augmentation.
- Learn more advanced indications and injection
techniques applied to the face, including treatment of peri-orbital
rhytides, glabellar complex, augmentation of cheek, chin, suborbital,
jawline and lateral face, and scars.
- Discuss possible complications in the face and how to
effectively prevent and/or handle them.
- Discuss the application of dermal fillers in darker
skin types.
- Learn pre-treatment preparation and pain control:
dental blocks, nerve blocks, topical anesthesia, vibratory anesthesia, and
ice.
- Discuss augmentation with autologous fat.
- Learn how to effectively select your dermal filler
client and educate him/her.
- Experience hands-on by treating actual models (‘live'
patients).
- Receive ample practical tips and resources for
immediate implementation in your clinical setting.
