With the recent launch of Google+ "Brand Pages" and a feature called "Direct Connect", Google is firmly integrating (+) into its dominant search platform.

"Direct Connect" allows searchers to insert a “+” before their query and jump directly to a business’s Google+ page. Type “+YouTube” into your Google search box, and Google will take you straight to YouTube’s G+ page. 

These two factors give Google+ users and any “brand page” a competitive advantage when it comes to search visibility. In this presentation Chris will show you how easy it is to get started and help you put the "+" in Google+ for your organization.

Speaker Bio: Since 1994, Chris Burdge has been leveraging Internet based communications to build brands and move products for companies such as BMW Japan, CIBC and Nestle Purina, as well as BC based businesses like Island Savings, Mayfair Mall and Wannawafel.

In 2009 Chris founded bWEST, a social media consulting firm focused on helping companies leverage social media to effectively grow their businesses. 

In 2010 Chris co-founded Social Media Camp, Canada's largest conference dedicated to the exploration and sharing of ideas and insights around social media.  The most recent Social Media Camp in June 2011 included 40 world-class speakers and attracted 670 attendees. 

Chris regularly delivers vibrant, humor-laden talks at conferences, trade shows and corporate events about social media strategies, trends, and tactics.
