Looking for a great way to keep the kids active this summer? N Zone Sports is excited to announce that we will be offering our first ever Summer Basketball Camp! The 3 week program is open to boys and girls ages 5-16 and will be held on Saturday mornings (July 14, 21, 28) at the YMCA Camp Cristina in Riverview.
The camp will emphasize the teaching of fundamentals, teamwork, good sportsmanship and most importantly, FUN! Our 3 week summer program combines age specific instruction/activities as well as participation in games to help reinforce teachings.
This program is 100% recreational, so all participants are involved all of the time. There are no try-outs, and no travel is required. All staff members are N Zone certified and are background checked.
Date & Time: Our Summer Program runs on Saturday mornings, July 14th, 21st and 28th at the YMCA Camp Christina in Riverview.
Cost: The cost of camp is $75. but we're offering a discounted online rate of $59 to all current participants of any of our spring programs. To register online (click here) or for more information please call 813 625-0589.
Curriculum: Players will arrive at their scheduled session time. The first half of the session will focus on skill building activities designed to develop hand-eye, foot-eye and overall basketball skills. The remainder of the session will be devoted to organized scrimmage games. We have designed fun and creative ways to ensure that every child gets ample opportunity to participate and become involved in the fun.
Uniforms & Equipment: Each participant will be given an official N zone Sports player jersey that is to be worn during the entire session and can be kept. Appropriate footwear includes any athletic, rubber-soled shoes.
Participant Awards: In line with N Zone Sports' belief of awarding kids for demonstrating important values like effort and sportsmanship, each player is awarded a medal for demonstrating these values.
