Join Glowbal Group and the CKNW Orphans' Fund as we celebrate Pink Shirt Day with a kick-off ladies lunch on Friday, February 24th from 12-2pm at Society in Yaletown.
February 29th, 2012 is Pink Shirt Day in BC. A day where Bullying Stops Here!
This fabulous and exclusive ladies luncheon will feature a delicious lunch, a pink inspired cocktail, door prizes, a pink themed silent auction and a signature pink shirt day take-away cupcake from Take 5 Cafe.
Emcee'd by the two of Vancouver's media darlings, the lovely Fiona Forbes from Shaw TV's Urban Rush and Karen K from CFOX's Jeff O'Neil Show, it will be a great opportunity to network while helping a very important cause.
Tickets are $25.00 plus applicable taxes. Net proceeds raised from the lunch will benefit the CKNW Orphans' Fund in support of the Boys & Girls Clubs Anti-Bullying programs.
About Pink Shirt Day: In 2007, two Nova Scotia students decided to take action after witnessing a younger student being bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school. The students bought 50 pink t-shirts and encouraged schoolmates to wear them and send a powerful message of solidarity to the bully. CKNW were inspired by the story and to date have raised more than $300,000 for Boys & Girls Clubs anti-bullying programs with the sales of Pink Shirt Day T-Shirts.
