Course description:
This in-depth 1 day seminar on foreclosure intervention is specifically geared to the general public. The focus will be a core principle of a powerful Federal law—RESPA.
The Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act—which if used properly and in a timely fashion—can block your lender's ability to move forward with legal action leading to foreclosure.
Once you understand the law's intent and broad scope as well as the provisions for protection for ordinary folks who hold a mortgage, you'll be able to use it to gain the most important commodity you need to save your home——T I M E.
T I M E doesn't cure everything but T I M E—used wisely—can frequently be what you need to reach an acceptable resolution to your housing problem.
Could you use some T I M E?
T I M E —— to facilitate/complete a short sale?
T I M E —— to secure and close a reverse mortgage?
T I M E —— to recover from your injury and get back to work?
T I M E —— to complete negotiations for a modification to a payment you can afford?
T I M E —— to move on to more affordable housing?
T I M E —— to find a tenant for the house you were forced to leave?
Attendees will:
1. Be able to utilize the option WITHOUT the need for legal fees or commissions to anyone. You can do it——YOURSELF—immediately after this class.
2. Be taught how to "negotiate" so you get the T I M E you need.
3. Be taught the section of the law which directly applies to legally mandated servicing requirements and consequences for failure to comply.
4. Be given COMPLETE instructions on the effective use of the Federal law to get the lender/servicer to work with you on a workout.
5. Be provided with sample letters to send to the lender as part of your classroom materials.
EVERYTHING you need to know you will be taught before you leave this class.
***This is a PRE-foreclosure prevention strategy. If foreclosure has already been initiated or has already occurred, this class is not likely to be of help.
Registration: Contact Linda Stallworth at (614) 257-6300 to register.
