Come join us in celebrating Tu Bishvat, the New Year of the Trees! We'll enjoy the music and fruits of Israel in honor of the trees that grow there. We've invited a representative of the Jewish National Fund to give a presentation on their efforts to restore the burned forests of the Carmel. The event is free, but please considering making a donation to JNF. Bring a guest or two! (Note: Students who have a class that evening can come at 8:30 pm.)

We are pleased to welcome Andy Ashwal from the JNF to our Tu Bishvat celebration. Andy has a love for Israel, Judaism, and environmental sustainability. He served as the chairperson of JNF's young leadership group, JNFuture, from 2009-2011, and recently joined the JNF's New York board. 

Also joining us will be artist Lili Almog. Lili will show us her photographs of Kibbutz Beit Oren, where many Bauhaus-style structures were destroyed in the Carmel forest fires. We are delighted to be getting a first look at her work before it is installed in a gallery in NYC.
