Luncheon

This is important in any situation, from project kickoff meetings to delivering the final audit report. One way to address this challenge is by delivering clear, concise and compelling presentations. In this presentation, you will gain insights on how to:
-  focus on what is important to your audience;
-  create a clear Message;
-  tell a compelling story; and
-  engage people in your presentations
You will walk away with new ideas and tools you can use right away! Attendees will receive 1 hour of CPE.

Seminar
In this technical session, you will apply the concepts from the luncheon presentation to a real-life situation you are facing. As a result, you will learn at a more detailed level how to:
-  target your presentation to the audience;
-  establish the value of the work you do;
-  manage the interaction with the audience; and
-  channel your nervous energy to establish a strong presence
You will take your presentations, and your career, to the next level! Attendees will receive 2 hours of CPE.

The Presenter:  Dave Underhill believes in the power of people expressing their ideas. Whether he works with a novice presenter or Nobel Prize winner, a CPA or CEO, he has a passion for helping people take their skills and their business to the next level. His company, Underhill Training and Development, was founded in 1993 and has offices in Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. Clients include companies such as Microsoft, Intel, U.S. Bank, Laird Norton Tyee, Jensen Investment, Tetra Pak, Hewlett Packard, M Financial Group, and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He also coaches startup CEOs on their investor presentations. Mr. Underhill also speaks globally to professional groups such as the CFA Institute, Institute for Internal Auditors, Society for Research Administration, Organization Development Network and American Society for Training and Development, as well as for corporate clients such as U.S. Bank, Microsoft and Verizon. Dave has a BS from Oregon State University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Washington. He is a member of the American Society for Training and Development, Oregon Entrepreneurs Network, Software Association of Oregon and The Nature Conservancy. Dave swims, bikes and enjoys the Pacific Northwest with his wife Dixie and daughter Emma.

Institute of Internal Auditors - Portland Chapter Refund Policy:  To limit losses on IIA events, any cancellation notice received less than 5 business days in advance of an event will be charged the full price for the event. It is acceptable to have a substitute attend the event on behalf of the registered person. Refunds requested prior to the 5 day deadline will be refunded, minus the processing fees charged to the IIA by Eventbrite. Cancellation and refunds should be requested of Eventbrite.
