Event Details

Program Information:

The Family and Medical Leave Act is one of the most complicated and challenging laws for many employers to administer.  This program will go cover the coordination of federal and Wisconsin FMLA, military leave (qualified exigency and caregiver), notice requirements, and medical certification/recertification (forms, authentication, and clarification).  The addition of domestic partner to the Wisconsin FMLA will also be discussed.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their questions regarding FMLA.

Christine Storlie, Manager, Human Resource Services, Cottingham and Butler

Christine Storlie, Manager, Human Resource Services with Cottingham & Butler joined the firm in 2003. She is responsible for consulting with clients in the following human resource areas:  recruitment & selection, policies & procedures, benefits, compensation, wage & hour, employee relations, and employee communications.  Christine also works with clients on a project basis for employee handbook reviews, compensation review and development, HR compliance reviews, training, and interim HR assistance.

 

Christine has over 10 years of experience in the human resources field. Prior to joining Cottingham & Butler, Christine was the Employment and Benefits Manager at Edgewood College in Madison, WI. While at Edgewood College, Christine managed the recruiting process (job postings, application screening, background checks, interviews, offer letters); benefits (enrollment, billing, dual-choice, negotiating rates, etc.), and compliance areas (FMLA, COBRA, ADA, EEOC, sexual harassment training, etc.).

 

While at Edgewood College, Christine obtained her MBA in Human Resource Management.  Christine also has her SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) and her CMS (Compensation Management Specialist) certificate.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are accepted up to 2 days before the program.  Substitutions are allowed.  If you RSVP and fail to show, you will be invoiced accordingly.
