See what the buzz is about as Annie Rush of Restaurant Gary Danko, shares her knowledge about our growing local cheese scene and offers tastings of some of our most treasure newcomers to the Artisan cheese-making community

 Annie’s enthusiasm for cheese began in 1999 when she first went to work for Gary Danko as the assistant cheese buyer. The following year she moved to Lyon, France to work on a goat’s milk farm. In 2001 she began teaching cheese appreciation at local restaurants such as Masa’s and at Cooper’s Gourmet grocery where she managed the cheese department. Soon afterward she was invited to write a weekly syndicated cheese column for Knight-Ridder newspapers with cookbook author Laura Werlin. Annie returned to Restaurant Gary Danko in 2004 after working for 2 years in Yountville, California at The French Laundry.
