The Thai Hot Stem Facial Massage has its roots in the Herbal Compress therapy which has been used for hundreds of years in Thailand. This has been blended with European skin care along with specific techniques from Swedish Massage, Chinese Acupressure and Chinese Facial Reflexology.

This new treatment was developed by Dana Pharant RMT who has been a Massage Therapist and Educator for 20 years. She has developed this to create a treatment which can be utilized for both musculoskeletal disorders as well as incorporated into skin care facial routines.

You can use this as a stand-alone treatment or as an add-on to another -such as a body wrap or Swedish massage. Great up sell!

The clay stems are great for treating tension headaches or TMJ since they hold the heat for a longer time than the other two types and moist heat gets deeper into the muscles than dry heat therapies.

The coconut stems are deeply moisturizing for the skin that has been stripped of moisture from the harsh winter winds or just genetics and time.

The sesame stems are gentle for sensitive skin and stimulate the cells to repair and exfoliate.

In this one day hands-on workshop, you will learn and master the techniques for the Facial Treatment using Thai Hot Stems. The three types of available compresses (stems) are luxurious and soothing to the skin.

During the class you will both give and receive 3 Thai Hot Stem Facial Massages. You will get a chance to experience from both sides each of the three types of stems.
