About Your Presenter:

Joshua Murer, CIA, CISA is a Senior Manager in Crowe Horwath LLP’s Risk Consulting group.  He also currently serves as President of the Indianapolis IIA Chapter.

Joshua has over ten years of accounting, finance and internal audit experience.  As a Senior Manager in the Crowe Horwath’s Risk Consulting group Joshua is responsible for managing internal audit functions, partnering arrangements, enterprise-wide risk assessments, and other project-based engagements.  Joshua has also focused substantial time in assisting companies with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, anti-fraud programs, including Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) compliance, and operational internal audits.  Key industries served include: Life Science and Healthcare, Real Estate, Retail, Manufacturing, Utilities, and Transportation and Airlines.  Joshua also spends considerable time and effort working on functional teams at Crowe Horwath, developing and refining Risk Consulting methodologies. 

Prior to joining Crowe Horwath, Joshua worked in the Indianapolis office of Deloitte and Touche in their Enterprise Risk Services group.  Joshua worked also at Cardinal Health, Inc., a “Fortune 20” global manufacturer and distributor of pharmaceutical, medical and surgical supplies and technologies.  Joshua held a variety of roles over six years in internal audit, corporate finance, and accounting.  During his tenure with Cardinal Health Joshua obtained extensive international experience spending over a year working in Paris, France.

Joshua current has been an active IIA member since 2001.  Joshua is also an active member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
