The 2012 Ontario Weightlifting Championships

Time:

  • Weigh-In for the first session will begin at 06:00am
  • Lifting begins at 08:00am
  • Start List and session times will be posted on the OWA website by 25 March 2012.

Eligibility:

  • Participation is open to athletes having qualified in open competition and having met all standards as posted on the OWA website. Participants must be members in good standing of the Ontario Weightlifting Association. 
  • Minimum Qualifiying totals are listed below.

This competition is subject to doping control.
 
Sanctioned: By the Ontario Weightlifting Association and The Canadian Weightlifting Federation/Halterophilie Canada.
 
Awards: Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each weight category. Awards will also be given to Best Male and Best Female Lifter

Entry Fee: $65 per athlete.

Note: Spectators will be charged a nominal fee of $10.00 at the door or $5.00 in advance, $12.50 for a family pass (3 pers, available only until February 18th).

Coaches enter for free as usual.

Deadline: Entries must be received by 23 March 2012. Registrations received after 23 March 2012 will not be accepted.



This event is being hosted at the beautiful NAV Centre in Cornwall, on the banks of the St Laurence. It is highly recommended that all athletes, coaches and family members take advantage of the amazing facilities which are available. We must inform you that the dinning facilities at the NAV CENTRE are second to none. Featuring local produce, and surprising, freshly cooked meals prepared with whole foods. You will have never eaten so well, at any competition!
