We at Candlelight are very excited that Darrell & Nancy Casey have agreed to present a weekend of Tantra. This program is appropriate for persons at either the introductory or more experienced level of Tantra. Nancy and Darrell have both studied a Western style of Tantra with Margot Anand and Taj (Dr. Deborah Anapole). Tantra is the art of weaving what are often somewhat contradictory parts of ourself into a more unified whole, for the purpose of expanding our consciousness.
The exercises and teachings of Tantra are designed to move us into a higher place of love (the heart chakra and higher) as we connect with those we love. Expanded awareness can open the door for the profound inner energy of kundalini - sacred sexual energy - to flow through our whole bodies. This flow is an all-encompassing process which often includes ecstatic experiences.
“Western Tantra” is a new approach to an ancient eastern tradition. Do you have a desire to explore loving your partner in new and different ways? When you expand your awareness, your appreciation of each other can deepen.
Tantric Practice heals Sexual Wounds
Tantra is an ancient art once taught only to the chosen few in the secret chambers of holy temples in India. With its eastern dogma distilled into a form which is readily understood by Westerners, it remains a powerful means of healing the split between sex and spirit. During this workshop, Nancy & Darrell will create a sacred community with major exercises between primary partners. What you learn can enhance lovemaking connections with any sexual partner with whom you share a loving bond. Expanding your awareness can alter your reality! Tantra is becoming more well known in our western culture. Workshops are popping up all over, and they're often very expensive. The challenge is to find teachers who know their subject in addition to being clear and effective presenters.
Darrell & Nancy offer virtually the ONLY workshop, on the East coast, of this type, presented to lifestyle and mainstream couples. The difference is meaningful. There is a recognition of the joys of multiple partners without lifestyle put downs, as some other Tantra leaders do. The leaders themselves participate in and enjoy the social polyamory lifestyle of multiple love partners. During this workshop the focus will be on primary partners because Tantra often deepens your loving bond as you connect at heart level with each other and explore the power of kundalini. A couple consists of two loving bonded persons, regardless of gender, committed to exploring loving energy with each other.
Takes place in a private retreat
This workshop will take place in a private home instead of a hotel as the first workshop did. More instructions will be given to those who reserve.
Those who attend must be present from Friday Evening, 8 p.m. and stay until Sunday 2 p.m. There are many area nearby hotels. Primitive camping will be permitted on the property for those who desire. There is limited space for RV's
Our agenda begins Friday evening at 8 PM with a community building Tantric ritual. Return Saturday morning at 9:30 for light refreshments. At 10:00 AM the workshop resumes and runs all day Saturday with a brief morning break and a 1 to 2-hour lunch to recharge. Then we'll meet again until the 5:30, break for dinner, followed by an evening session from 8:00-11:00.
Close-knit communal experience
This will be very loving, very warm group experience. Tantra expands our awareness, removing barriers to intimacy and moving us into new patterns of loving. The going rate for Tantra workshops today is $100/couple for a 90 minute presentation, $695/couple for a camping weekend including meals, $440 per couple for a one day presentation. These are workshops marketed to the public. Our event is designed for a select audience and is held in the inviting and confidential space of a private home. Our low price of $270 allows Tantra teaching to become available to Candlelight members at a special discounted rate.

Nancy Casey is a licensed master social worker (LMSW), specializing in family mental health, as well as being Certified in Reality Therapy. She and her husband have been polyamorous for 24 years and are relationship coaches. They're also exploring Tantra and have studied for the past 10 years with Taj (Dr. Deborah Anapole) and Margot Anand. Nancy and Darrell are frequent contributors to “Loving More” Magazine. Darrell is a retired teacher and Values Realization Trainer. They've presented at numerous Tantric, poly and lifestyle events in both Florida and New York and were keynote speakers at the ‘04 Midwest poly conference.
