Class 002-1 Young's Cassess/Underpinner, 2/16 at 1 - 3 PM more info In this class you will be instructed on how to use the “Cassese Underpinner”. The Cassese will join picture frame molding by underpinning; leaving NO nail holes to be filled. It is a fast and easy procedure to learn. Class 005-1 Young's Creative Custom Framing, 2/9 at 1 - 3 PM more info Learn how to professionally finish putting your photo into a frame. You will learn how to properly clean glass, how to use the framing point gun and the finishing touch of dust covers, bumpers and wire. Class 008-1 Young's Glass Cutting & Print Guard, 2/23 at 1 - 3 PM more info Learn how to handle glass, cut glass, switch & change blades and how to cut plexiglass. Also learn how to use "Print Guard," a product that is used in the dry mount press that can take the place of glass. It is permanent when mounted to the photo and makes all photos "mat finish" even if the print is glossy. It's a wonderful product for artists who work in pastels and even pencil drawings, as it keeps their pictures from ever smearing. Class 009-3 Peluso's Mat Cutting Part 1, 2/15 at 1 - 3 PM more info This class is a hands-on instruction of the basic single-mat cutting only. Learn to dry mount your photo, measure correctly, do proper cutting for a single mat and do finish trimming of mat. You must bring an 8 X 10 photo, measuring tape and a lead pencil. Class 012-4 Rotty's Monitor Training & Studio Certification, 2/22 at 10 - 11:30 AM more info The Studio Education Committee recommends that every member receive instruction on Studio procedures including training to monitor classes. Participants will learn how to access and secure the Studio, perform class monitor duties, register members for classes, register new members, and complete emergency procedures. This is essential training for the many members who volunteer to monitor classes. The Club continues to have a strong class schedule only with the assistance of the volunteer monitors and instructors. In addition, any member who would like to reserve the studio must take this training. Members who have taken classes that provide equipment certification in matting, lighting, printing, scanning, etc. can take advantage of reserved Studio time once they complete this training session. Class 022-2 Thomas' Landscape Photography, 2/23 at 10 AM - Noon more info For many photographers at whatever level, landscapes are a favorite subject, but capturing the scene as we see it can often be one of the more challenging and frustrating experiences of photography. This course will begin with a brief look back at the evolution of landscape photography in the US and how it influenced the creation of the National Park system and spurred efforts to preserve our natural resources. We continue with an overview of various techniques the pros use for getting eye-catching landscape photos, such as content, composition, exposure and lighting, followed by a review of equipment considerations such as lenses and filters best suited for landscapes. Class 214-2 Fisher's Using the Magic Extractor Tool in Photoshop Elements, 2/22 at 1 - 3 PM more info Ever have a picture you absolutely loved but the background was a distraction and ruined the picture? Don't delete it yet! Learn how to use the Magic Extractor Tool to take your subject out of the picture and put it in another background or setting. It's fun and easy to do. Event Details

Each member must sign up separately. All Classes must be charged to a standard credit card such as Visa or MasterCard or paid by check delivered to the club Studio no later than the Saturday following the date you register. The complete list of class descriptions, including instructors, dates & times, special instructions and cost, is available on the club website pcschh.org. You may also view the class description on the registration form by clicking “more info” following the class title. Select one ticket only, using the drop down button, for the classes you wish to attend. After selecting tickets for all the classes you wish to attend, scroll to the bottom of the form for your payment choices. If you wish to pay by credit card, click on the button that says “ORDER NOW.” If you wish to pay by check, click on the “Show other payments options” link and click on “Pay offline.” You will then need to input your personal registration information. All questions on the registration form must be completed in order to enroll. You are asked to provide your CAM number only to confirm you club membership. Your CAM card will not be charged. Don’t forget to click the “COMPLETE REGISTRATION” button at the end of the form after you have completed all information.
