An evening with Sally Flatman, producer of the BBC Radio 4 Appeal.

We're delighted to be hosting, along with the Third Sector PR and Communications Network, a Q & A session with Sally Flatman.  She'll be talking about the changing face of the Radio 4 appeal and what makes for a successful appeal.  The recent Christmas appeal for the St Martin-in-the-Fields Connection project raised more than £1,500,000.

The Radio 4 appeal is a weekly 3 minute programme (often presented by a celebrity) highlighting the work of a charity and asking for donations to support its work.

Increasingly these programmes are using non-celebrity speakers and short audio clips have been inserted into the programmes to add impact.

The next deadline for applications for a BBC Charity appeal broadcast is 2nd April.

If you're a charity who's never been involved in an appeal this is the event for you.
