JD is a Partner and Executive Creative Director at Instrument. Since 2000, JD has created digital experiences for cultural institutions and companies large and small. Current clients include Facebook, XBOX, Google, Nike and Livestrong Foundation. Prior to starting Grid/plane, JD co-founded the design firm, Fourm and the type foundry, Miniml. Next, he joined Second Story Interactive Studios where he collaborated on projects for AIGA, National Geographic, Nintendo of America and the National Gallery of Art. JD's work has been recognized by the One Show, Communication Arts, HOW, Print, Step and I.D. Magazines. In 2005, he was named one of Print Magazine's "30 Under 30" New Visual Artists.
