Start the day in style with the Agile Breakfast, where Toby Parkins of UK Netweb, gets his audience to grips with the concept of Agile project management and illustrates how it deals with a perennial project management issues, leaving everyone in the picture and operating towards common goals.
The Agile Breakfast will be a great opportunity for business in Cornwall to come together to find out some new ideas about Agile Methodologies. We're getting existing users and practitioners of Agile to share some of their knowledge and experiences of using Agile with other businesses who are interested in adopting Agile to improve their IT and software solutions.
There will be a short keynote talk from the Agile guru Allan Kelly entitled "What is this Agile thingy" and then a couple of short experience views "from the coal face" where some Cornish businesses will share their favourite moments of using Agile.
Expect to hear about reducing budgets, getting better quality, greater satisfaction and other rare feelings not normally associated with IT projects.
This is the first event of it's type and follows on from the very successful Agile on the Beach conference held during September 2011 in Falmouth. A must event for anyone approaching an IT project both from outside the IT industry as well as within it.
Bio:
Allan Kelly has held just about every job in the software world, from system admin to development manager. Today he helps teams adopt and deepen Agile and Lean practices. He specialises in working with software product companies and aligning products and processes with company strategy. His new book "Business Patterns for Software Developers" is due for publication in early 2012
Taking place from 8am to 9am at the Bay Hotel, Newquay, on January 19, the Agile Breakfast is the ideal way to set yourself up for the Partner to Succeed Collaborate Cornwall conference which is only a five minute drive, or a 20-minute walk, away.
