 The talk will address how WTO accession is seen by Russian companies and society. It will ask what are the advantages and risks of WTO accession for Russia and assess the current situation in light of its WTO commitments.

  

Viatcheslav Evseev earned his PhD in economics from the Institute of Macroeconomic Studies in Moscow. Dr. Evseev heads the Center for Customs Tariff and non-Tariff Regulation Research and is currently researching how the U.S. and Russia form their international economic policies. He is especially intersted in how society and the private sector influence on economic decision making and WTO compliance.
