Presented by Susan  Obleski
Gardening is fast becoming one of the most tangible ways for people to do their part to help the environment.  Without a lot of effort, gardeners can be water conservationists, backyard ecologists supporting biodiversity and water quality advocates reducing run-off and filtering nutrients.

Many gardeners are coming to appreciate that they play a pretty important and vital role as nature’s stewards.  And as we lose more and more open spaces, backyard gardeners in some areas are often the last line of defense.

L
earn how you can have beautiful, showy gardens with native species that inspire you year-round while helping nature in truly meaningful ways.

Susan Obleski is the Director of Communications for the Susquehanna River Basin Commission.  She has been a garden enthusiast for more than 25 years and has extremely hardy, drought tolerant gardens.
