Windows Azure Sydney User Group (WASUG) will have two presentations at the next User Group Meeting in January.

1.)   'Integration using Windows Azure Application Integration Services'

Local Integration & Training guru Mick Badran CTO at Breeze Training & Consulting and veteran BizTalk Server MVP/V-TSP will present on 'Integration using Windows Azure Application Integration Services'

The presentation will show how to use Microsoft Windows Azure to be the cornerstone of your integration strategy, whether it’s a small piece or larger deployment. Find out what new tools you can use to extend your existing toolbox and the best way to use them.

This session will cover:

- Strategies on complementing your on-premises <-> cloud integration and what tool to use when.

- High availability solutions with a demo of fault tolerance.

- Casting an eye what’s around the corner to new features coming out of Azure Labs such as EAI, EAI Bridges, EDI – azure style and new XML over HTTP endpoints.

2.) 'Optimising your build environment for Windows Azure'

Tom Hollander (Microsoft Australia) is an experienced software architect and consultant who specialises in architecting solutions and advising customers on technical strategy around cloud computing.

Tom has been leading key cloud computing efforts within Microsoft, working in a worldwide team to assist a number of early adopter customers on Windows Azure projects and defining Microsoft Services engagement strategy for Windows Azure.

These days most mature development teams use build servers to automate the build and deployment process, making it easier to deploy more frequently and predictably. If you’re targeting Windows Azure, it’s possible to fully automate deployment to multiple environments – but there are a few tricks to it. In this presentation Tom Hollander from Microsoft will discuss approaches and tools for deploying all aspects of a Windows Azure project and managing details about multiple environments.
