Wellspring Trust Fundraiser
Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 8:00 PM - Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 2:00 AM (MST)
Wellspring Trust is throwing a party to help support our most recent project, a documentary film about the orphaned children of Kibera, the largest slum in Nairobi, Kenya.
The film focuses on the orphans as they prepare for a community festival, one that gives them a unique opportunity to be a voice of change in their local community. It portrays the many challenges they face day to day and represents the heart and passion that drives these children to overcome such obstacles.
Awareness can be spread virally through the power of digital media and film. Steps to eradicate poverty and injustice for children suffering around the world is made possible through organizations working on the ground. Wellspring's mission is to use film and digital media to raise support for organizations working to improve, protect, and sustain the well-being of women and children worldwide.
For this project Wellspring partnered with Flying Kites Global a non-profit with a mission to raise the standard of care given to the world's poorest children. This film will help raise resources and awareness for them to better fulfill their charge.
Through this event, Wellspring wants to celebrate a successful production and raise funds for the cost of serving as an integral part of the development process in the making of this film. Please join us for a relaxed night of dancing, drinks, and prizes all for a good cause!
Live music with local talent The Kinky Fingers!
Tickets can be purchased for $25 NOW and will be $30 at the door!
Hope to see you there!
