Join us for this 2 day workshop, Alternative Energy Sources for the Future, presented by RiverQuest with Conservation Consultants, Inc. and Steel City BioFuels. March 12 & 13, 2009, 8:30am-3:00pm.
This workshop explores some of the alternative energy sources that are increasingly in the news, named as potential options in the effort to reduce dependency on foreign oil and fuels that pollute. Topics to be covered include biofuels, solar energy, wind energy, hybrid engine technology, conservation and green building and design. It is sponsored by PA Department of Environmental Protection, and will earn participants 12 Act 48 hours.
There is a $3 fee to park in the Carnegie Science Center lots, based on availability. Participants bring a bag lunch both days. Much of this workshop takes place onboard the vessel Explorer, both at dock and underway on the river.
