Event Details

From late night Facebook stalking to obsessively tweeting at Chelsea Handler and Lebron James, we are all a slave to social media in some form or another. Sure, most students can post a photo or share a thought, but are we using social media to our full advantage?

Spend a day with the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) as we explore many students' unanswered questions about social media, such as:

-How do I know if my social media efforts are effective?

-How can I use social media to get a job?

-What is the best way to connect with professionals via social media?

-What is the line between personal and professional social media use?

-How can I create an effective online resume or portfolio?

At the #OhioU Social Media Summit, students will get the opportunity to pick from six sessions ranging from beginner ("Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn - What do I use and how?") to advanced ("SEO: How to measure my online presence"). Professionals from The Karcher Group, Webbed Marketing, Fahlgren Mortine, Nationwide Children's Hospital and Aerotek will lead the sessions.

Interested students should RSVP for the event by Friday, January 27. Lunch will be provided by PRSSA.
