Microsoft’s Ribbon interface, home to all of the menus and tools you need to get the most out of your Office software, is now completely customizable, allowing you to decide which functions and commands appear and where. In Office 2010, you can add and remove items from existing menus and groups, or create your own to help save time and reduce unnecessary clutter. In addition, the old File menu is back in 2010 in the form of the new Backstage view, a separate Ribbon tab containing important commands such as Save, Open, and Close, as well as tools to protect and share your documents.
