ADX is thrilled to offer a series of classes hosted by cycling phenom Max Miller. Advanced Bicycle Maintenance is a 2-day weekend class, taking place Saturday from 11am-1pm, and Sunday from 11am-3pm. Students must be able to attend both sessions.

This advanced bicycle maintenance class is perfect for olks who are comfortable doing most common repairs – this class offers a chance to bring their skills up to a new level.  Day 1 focuses on the fine-tuning of shift and brake systems, parts compatibility, upgrades, and principles and techniques of troubleshooting.  Day 2 (2 hours longer) is hands-on, as students strip their bicycles down for a complete tune-up including replacing cables and housing, full range of adjustments, truing wheels, removing and installing a bottom bracket, and taping drop bars (if appropriate).

Each class is offered at $80 + a $20 materials fee that includes cables and housing, rags, degreaser, and lube. Come ready and BYO-Bicycle!

About the instructor:
Max Miller has been in love with bikes since he fell off of his tricycle at the tender age of two. He has been in the bike industry, both as a professional mechanic and bicycle messenger, since 2001. In addition, he races (mountain and road), commutes and tours by bicycle, and occasionally hand-builds his own frames. In his spare time, Max does things NOT related to bicycling, but can't remember exactly what.
