Networking Tactics to get the Job!  (3 1/2 PDUs)

More than 80% of real career jobs are never publicly advertised. Many are never posted and more still are created for people based on their talents or appeal to the organization.

So, how can you tap into this “hidden” job market? This in-seat seminar examines the opportunities that await people who know how to obtain them. Various aspects of networking are examined, including how to access jobs through people you know, how to secure positions through agencies, and the secrets of how to gain access to your ideal position within your ideal company.

SEMINAR OBJECTIVES:

•             TO explain exactly what networking is and isn't and how you can benefit (and get hurt) by it.

•             TO explain the steps involved with developing a successful network.

•             TO describe aspects of the "hidden" job market.

•             TO review potential problems people encounter when networking incorrectly.

This class will be held on Saturday, March 24, from 8:00am - 12:00pm

Cancellation Policy 

For all non-chapter meeting events, MTC will refund price paid less costs (Eventbrite fee, room fee, etc.) based on when the cancellation request is received:

                                                 14 + days              -       100% refund

                                                  7-13 days            -          50% refund

                                                  2-  6 days            -          25% refund

                                                < 2 days                 -             no refund

For chapter meetings, no refund will be made if cancellation request is less than 2 days before the meeting.

Exceptions will only be granted by Chapter President and Comptroller vote.  The exception is logged for recordkeeping and communication with the Board.  The refund will be issued for the proper amount to the address of record within15 business days of the approval.
