Offshore Testing ROI – Pitfalls & Remediation
Abstract:
Majority of test off shoring decisions are undertaken on the face value of offshore rates and are structured with contracts that promote non-performance and hinder excellence. Risk and reward mechanism are not commonly built in. What makes the matters more complicated is that Testing ROI as a concept is not well defined in the industry. Low cost per se does not provide high ROI. ROI should be expressed in number considering all associated costs and returns. This white paper presents quantitative analysis of offshore testing ROI, examines the pitfalls and offers practical remediation options.
Biography:
Vikram Chandna has eleven years of IT experience with last nine years in onsite-offshore testing. Vikram is a PMP certified test manager and a testing consultant. He is also Sun Java and Loadrunner certified, and with expertise in performance testing, data warehouse testing, QA/QC group setup and SDLC. Vikram has diverse experience having worked in India, Malaysia, Australia and UK with software product company, end user organization and consulting organizations.
