Event Details

Learn the elements of writing a business plan on Thursday, February 23 at 6:30 p.m. when the Winter/Spring 2012 Entrepreneurship Series continues at the Hudson Library & Historical Society.

Jim Griggy of the Ohio Small Business Development Center (OSBDC) will lead this workshop targeted to individuals who are interested in starting their own business. The program will instruct entrepreneurs on how to describe their business, describe the legal forms of ownership, assist in developing financial projections and explain the importance of industry and market research.

Griggy is a Certified Business Advisor at the OSBDC at the Summit Medina Business Alliance. The OSBDC offers a broad range of services for developing and existing businesses to help them meet their growth needs or to operate more efficiently. The Center works with businesses of up to 500 employees, although most of the clients have fewer than a dozen employees.  The OSBDC assists companies in the pre-venture stage, the start-up stage, growth stages, and problem stages, and offers free, one-on-one business counseling on site at the Hudson Library by appointment or at their office in Akron.
