Description:

Careers in chemistry are not all of the stereotypical white-lab-coat-and-test-tube variety. Join research chemist Bruce Kimball for a brief glimpse into his work as part of Monell Chemical Senses Center and the USDA National Wildlife Research Center. A U.S. Department of Agriculture employee, Dr. Kimball will guide students through a typical day in his life, demonstrating the impact of chemistry in the study of animals and animal behavior.

Prior to the videoconference, students will complete a brief research experience that simulates Dr. Kimball's work.
