LBC's Biblical Enrichment will be hosting a workshop Beyond Suffereing: A Christian View on Disability Ministry. Dr. Vickie Byler, Brian Funk, Sib Nafziger Charles, and Mike King from Joni and Friends Eastern PA  (www.joniandfriends.org) will be leading the workshop on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM for a cost of $30 per person.

This workshop will explore the lives of individuals and families as they experience the world of disability. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the disability community and the Church’s role to reach out to those who are affected by disability.  The students will discuss the challenges, joys and intricacies of their church’s culture. A biblical view of healing and a framework for disability ministry will be presented.  This course will also identify major bioethical issues that are prevalent in society today and challenge the students to be advocates and resource supports for their churches and communities in making wise decisions about such issues.

The deadline to register is Monday, March 21. If you have questions, please call 717.560.8282.
