Working in the metal shop is so much more than just welding, and this is a great class to start you on your journey to make anything you desire from metal!
This beginning course, instructed by expert metal smith and instructor Sean Barrow, will cover the basics of safely working in our metal shop - from starting with a bar of ugly steel to having a shiny finished piece of art to take home to impress your dog. We will cover basic layout and planning of your project, common metal hand tools, plus cutting, grinding, drilling, fastening and finishing metal. Each student will get hands on training on all the shops tools, and will leave with their minds buzzing on all the cool projects now within their grasp.
This four-hour class is highly recommended for those new to a metal shop environment.
