We'll cover the basics of a sound communication plan, trends from 2011 what to expect in 2012  and then talk about how to set priorities and make the best use of your limited resources for the most impact.

Michael Levine, owner of Flywheel Communications in Montpelier, will talk about the value of a good communications strategy and why it’s important to revisit your plan periodically. Topics we’ll cover include:

• Evaluating last year’s communication efforts
• Defining and refining your communication goals for the year
• Some techniques/ tools/ resources that you can use to “freshen” up your media and other outreach efforts

Michael’s background includes extensive experience with Vermont’s nonprofit sector as a staff member, board member, and consultant. He has worked as a radio announcer, a print journalist, and a video producer and has led extended member engagement campaigns.
