Event Details
Over the last few months, the Diablo East Bay Branch (DEBB) has been exploring renewable energy. Please Join as we look at renewable energy options.
Tiffany Elston will explore how renewable energy applies to LEED with specific focus on how to secure points under EAc2 - On-site Renewable Energy, EAc4 - Green Power, and EAc6 – On-site and Off-site Renewable Energy. The session will provide beneficial information for architects, engineers, contractors, property managers and consultants, and requires no prerequisite knowledge.
Pete Shoemaker will review the overall Solar technology: what is it and how does it work? As well as feasibility: will it work for me and can I afford it? This will be followed by: how can I get one?

- Describe the benefits of both onsite and offsite renewable energy
- Analyze the consideration factors for on-site vs. off-site renewable energy
- Understand the key assessment criteria for determining if an on-site solar system is appropriate for a given project
