Course Length: 2 Days

Course Description

This course instructs participants on facilitation basics including: instructor preparation, introductory comments, how to set up the workshop exercises and key points to introduce.

In addition, this course provides a hands-on opportunity to review the workshop content which includes: your job your body, the principles of safe lifting, safe resident handling, performing and communicating resident mobility assessments and safe manual materials handling.

Additionally, participants are provided with the tools required to deliver the workshop content, including: the participant manual, the workshop PowerPoint presentation and sample forms and policies.

Purpose

Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention Train-the-Trainer is beneficial to those individuals who are responsible for delivering health and safety training programs in your facility.

Exercises

By providing a combination of class-room instruction, student participation, course work and presentation practice, we are able to provide a complete understanding of the requirements for delivering an effective Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention training program. The most important component is the opportunity to practice the safe lifting/handling techniques and receive immediate feedback in a safe learning environment.
