Event Details

Due to the ongoing distressed property market throughout Florida, various amendments to Florida’s existing statutory scheme were made in recent years.  Chapter 718, Florida’s Condominium Act, has not been immune to such changes during the 2010 and 2011 legislative sessions.  This one hour Fundinar focuses on the major changes to the Condominium Act during that time, including the Distressed Condominium Relief Act; lien priority, including changes to the “safe harbor” provision for first mortgagees and relative rights of master and subordinate associations; suspension and termination of use rights; rights of condominium association to collect past due assessments from tenants; and termination of condominiums.  Significant pending legislation will also be discussed, as appropriate.  The Fundinar is approved for 1 hour of general CLE credit from The Florida Bar, and 1 hour of continuing education by NALA.
