The Worship & Performing Arts Department proudly introduces the inaugural year of the Total Percussion Seminar – a week of specialized training and performance for high school and college percussionists and drummers. This is a work out with the top pros from eastern PA! Daily Hands-On clinics and ensembles such as, percussion ensemble, “The Life of a Touring Rock Drummer”, district audition preparation, drumset, orchestral percussion, mallet percussion, world drumming, drumline techniques & chops. Everyone tries their hand at everything! Special performances by "Cocoa Rhythm Factory" from Hershey Park as well as the percussion ensemble "Overdekte Brug". Directed by professional percussionist/drummer and LBC adjunct professor, Gabriel Staznik along with guest clinicians including Dr. Chris Hanning, director of percussion studies at West Chester University, professional drummer/percussionist, recording artist for NFL Films; Michael Windish, touring drummer for Chubby Checker, producer/director of Windish Music & Productions and George Yellak, professional. Parents and friends are invited to attend the showcase performance on Thursday 3 pm in the Good Shepherd Chapel.
Dates: June 18-21, 9 am–3 pm, daily
Cost: $165. Includes daily hands-on instruction, ensemble rehearsals, all clinic materials and handouts, snacks, lunch, and door prizes to all attendees.
Attendance: Limit to 100. 14-years or older.
