The classes meet on the following date:

   1. Saturday January 14, 2012 (9:00AM - 5:30PM)

    You must attend session, in succession, to receive a certificate of completion.  

You are entitled to bring one co-borrower to the workshop at no extra cost.

Credit report available.

Please arrive by 9:00 a.m.  Late arrivals will have to arrange to make up the time in order to receive their certificate.

African Families Development Network



The African Families Development Network (AFDN) is a housing counseling agency to provide Pre-purchase One-on-One Counseling, Pre-purchase Homebuyer Education Workshops, and Services for the Homeless One-on-One Counseling.

 

  • Provide linguistic and culturally competent housing-related programs, services and downpayment assistant.
  • Enhance the sense of community among low-income African immigrant.
  • Advocate for safe, clean, and affordable housing for low and moderate-income families and individuals.
  • Strengthen collaborations with agencies serving the immigrant communities in twin cities.

Housing

In mid-2009, AFDN launched its first programming area to begin serving the needs of African refugee and immigrant families by addressing the desire to obtain permanent housing in the community.
