Build Outside the Box!  Workshop Series

Saturdays in January and February (January 14, January 28, February 11,  February 28)

Drop-off* program for ages 7-10 years

9:30am-12:00pm

Cost: $22.50 Members/$25.00 Non-Members (includes admission to program for 1 child) 

Calling all Engineers!  Flex your building muscles as you participate in new exciting and hands-on workshops that challenge you to build outside the box as you design, build, and test your own creations! Parents - this is a drop-off workshop for your child but you and any siblings of the child in the workshop are welcome to enjoy the museum from 9:30am-12:00pm on the workshop day.

Register for one or more of the following dates for your little engineer:

January 14: Circuit Contraptions!  Children will use simple motors, batteries and LED's to learn about the basics of circuitry and create their own contraptions!

January 28: Sky High! How high do you think you can build a structure?  Children will learn just how important a foundation can be when they build the highest structure they can carry using a wide variety of building materials from starch peanuts to boxes!

February 11: Make it Move! Children explore the concepts of potential and kinetic energy as they use life savers, rubber bands, and their own energy to make their creations move!

February 25: Stay Afloat! Children will learn about buoyancy as they build their own flotation devices and test their durability on rough waters and windy seas!

*Please note, this workshop series is just for kids!  Please arrange to drop-off and pick-up your child at the times indicated.  Parents are welcome to wait in the museum with younger children during the program at normal admission rate ($7 adults; $7 Children 2 and up; Free for children under 2).
