Learn how food gets from our mouth to our stomach, and some of the problems that can happen when that process does not work correctly. Video of normal and abnormal swallows. Hands-on practice with "Thick-It," a substance that modifies fluids for a person with a swallowing disorder.
Bring a pen or pencil to class. Ok to bring snack and drink.
