Takahiko Hayashi at The Pacific Arts of Asia Show
Sunday, February 5, 2012 from 10:45 AM to 1:00 PM (PST)
San Francisco, CA
In partnership with Japan Society member, SCRIPTUM, we are delighted to announce a special presentation with Japanese artist Takahiko Hayashi as he exhibits his work at The Pacific Arts of Asia Show at Fort Mason Center.
For our Japan Society group, Mr. Hayashi will present and discuss his color etchings, collage and original paintings on display at the show. Mr. Hayashi diligently works at creating masterfully bold abstractions, often with vibrant color. His work has a mystical quality and the titles reflect an interest in philosophy and natural phenomena. Born in Gifu, Mr. Hayashi received a BFA from Musashino Art University and an MFA in printmaking from the National University of Fine Arts and Music in Tokyo.
After enjoying Mr. Hayashi’s presentation and exhibition, Japan Society guests are welcome to tour the rest of the exhibition hall. The Pacific Arts of Asia Show offers a unique opportunity to view more than 10,000 antiques, textiles and art from Pacific Asia all under one roof.
