If you’ve ever tried to get an organization to do what you want as if it were a machine that you could give orders to, you know that it doesn’t work. Organizations have a mind, volition, and wisdom of their own, which is different from the mind, volition, and wisdom of any individual member of it.

Yet we stubbornly persist in treating organizations as lifeless machines. We do it (as consultants) when we are surprised that our organizational initiatives don’t fly. We do it (as consumers) when we wait at the check-out counter and not make eye contact. We do it (as citizens) when the only reason why we live in our city is because it is the place we get our paycheck.

The consequences and symptoms that this generates include:

  • ·         Alienation and stress
  • ·         Lack of employee engagement
  • ·         Individual focus instead of team focus / Silos and separation
  • ·         Sexier competitors who do “get it”

The challenge for you as a consultant or leader becomes:  how do you align your vision with what’s trying to happen in the organization? how do you re-engage people with the organization’s living mystique? how do you get them to think for the whole instead of only for themselves?  and how do you deal with the skeptics?

In our September 22nd experiential workshop, you will go through a process that tackles these challenges. You will experience as a participant two cutting-edge tools that you will be able to use with your own clients or organization. If you can relate to any of the symptoms above, this is a must-attend workshop.

Your takeaways will be:

  • ·         Two powerful tools (and handouts)
  • ·         An experience of the process
  • ·         A new paradigm for organizations as living systems
