Jerry U. Guerrier, RA, LEED AP, Facilities Architect, will speak to UNC Chapel Hill’s process of public notification / website posting, the required electronic profile form, presubmittal briefings, what to highlight or not in the paperwork, team makeup, who is reviewing and what they typically are looking for, what constitutes an automatic “out”, how useful are the SF254s – should one for every team member firm be included, what happens after shortlisting, what are effective and non-effective interview strategies and more.  Walking the group through the University’s process, Jerry will offer insights into how an A/E firm can best position itself for selection.

Jerry U. Guerrier has over 25 years of management, architectural design, project development, and construction administration experience prior to joining UNC Chapel Hill.  His professional career has encompassed serving as a project manager, designer, and architect for firms located in New York and North Carolina; ultimately culminating as President and shareholder with a North Carolina based architectural firm.  In 2003, he joined the Facilities Planning Department at UNC Chapel Hill. He participates in the design development of new construction and building renovations as well as the planning, design development and project management ($500M+ built facilities) of the University’s on-going $2.1 billion capital program.
