Event Details
Easy Bytes is a series of educational and fun workshops and events in the category of “Learn to Love your Computer”. We will be serving our information like milk and cookies. We all remember what it was like to come home from school and have a great snack before we went out to play.
I am excited to share this fun workshop with you in our playtime together.
On March 3, 2012, Easy Bytes brings two diverse computer topics to you. Come and join us to learn the right way to protect your investment and at the same time learn to use it to express your creative best.
Computer Protection- The Right Way
Circe, a computer professional for 26 years, will be teaching computer security from the view of prevention. Circe will be sharing her knowledge to help you understand why your computer gets infected - even when protection software has been installed. Not technical? No problem. She uses simple language to explain technical processes. Even the novice will benefit from this event. Understanding the early warning signs of trouble will help you to prevent loss of irreplaceable files.
Creating Memories and Being Unforgettable - Presented by Linnaea Mallette, Past District Governor of Toastmasters International and Bonnie Keith, Actress, Entrepreneur, Videographer
Have you noticed the growing number of videos on the Internet and social media platforms? At Easy Bytes 2012, these teachers and video experts will help you create your own video sizzle reel, with tools and software you already have or can acquire for free. You can use these personal creations to share with your family, promote your business, enhance your blog, use on Facebook and send via email to friends.
This session will guide you through the steps to take your photographs, movie clips, artwork and written work and put them together for a memorable video clip. Linnaea Mallette, a radio show host and hearing impaired speaker, will be creating a video reel live on stage.
Your Questions Answered
To be sure you leave fully equipped to begin working on your own, there will be an open Q&A session. Media and computer specialists will be on hand to be sure you get what you came for. Any computer, social media, website, internet, software, hardware or other technical question will be answered.
