Advanced Foreclosure Training

June 23, 2009

8:30am to 5:00pm

* This is Level III of the (FIS) Foreclosure Intervention Specialist certification program for housing counselors.  Successful completion of this class is required to participate in the Indiana Foreclosure Network.

Pre-requisite: completion of on-line introductory course and Level II.

Advanced Foreclosure training will allow participants to spend a significant amount of times actually analyzing case studies to better prepare them for the borrowers whom they will be facing with myriad issues related to defaulted loans. Participants will learn the mechanics of FHA, VA, and RHS work outs as well as how short sales work.  In addition, the course includes a discussion of legal protection against foreclosure and an exploration of life AFTER foreclosure.

Having an instructor who has been there (foreclosure) done that and lived to tell the story will be an asset for the class.  Practical, first-hand experience has always been the best preparation for understanding any challenge.
