Are you prepared for an active shooter incident at your school or on your campus? If you are responsible in any way for the safety of our most precious resource, our youth, then this webinar is a must for you and your team. Active shooter incidents on campus are on the rise, they are impossible to predict and frontline responders, including 911/000/111, law enforcement, EMS, fire, teachers/professors and school administrators need to be prepared. This phenomenon is also not limited to college campuses but can occur on a K-12, junior high school, high school or college or university campus. The key to preparedness is not to second-guess if an active shooter incident on your campus might happen but to be prepared when it happens. This LEAPS webinar, hosted by Tactical Edge Law Enforcement Training and delivered by Capt. Tim Guerrette, will provide a high-impact one hour summary of the critical up-to-date information on best practices taught in Tactical Edge Law Enforcement Training's two day on-site seminars. During the webinar the audience will view a mock school shooting and critique the response by school and law enforcement personnel through an interactive web session that places the webinar attendee "on scene". In addition, the instructor will overview historical and recent mass shooting incidents and evaluate the response of the first responder in those instances. Topics of discussion to include: lockdown procedures, past Incidents of mass casualty, emergency/crisis planning and preparation, active shooter identification and the usage of video on campus. There will be an opportunity for online questions and answers during the live program.
