Event Details

Dear Colleagues,

The registration period is now closed for the 16th Annual NETA Conference, to be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. However, you can still sign up the day of the conference! Just bring a check to the Boston Common Hotel and Conference Center at 40 Trinity Place in Copley Square, Boston. Members get in for $110, non-members for $130, and students for $45.

And don't forget to join us in watching the critically acclaimed The Woman with the Five Elephants on Friday night at 7pm in the conference center!

The conference is an excellent opportunity to make contact with colleagues, potential clients and friends from New England and beyond. As always, the Conference also offers a complete educational program as well as exhibitors of books and other items of interest!

We recommend that you take public transportation to the conference if possible. However, there are a number of parking garages in the area. For the lowest rate by far-- parking for $12 for up to 12 hours on weekends we recommend you park at 100 Clarendon Street, Boston, MA, 02116

To get this rate, you must print the following coupon and show it upon exiting the garage: http://boston.centralparking.com/Boston-100-Clarendon-Street-Parking.html

Attendees to this Conference who are certified by the American Translators Association (ATA) are eligible to earn up to six (6) Continuing Education points (CEP’s). For those wishing to become ATA certified, a sitting of the ATA Certification Exam has been scheduled for Sunday May 6th, the day after the conference. Note that you must register for the exam through the ATA. For details on CEP’s and ATA Certification testing, see http://www.atanet.org/certification/

For specific questions, please contact ConferenceInformation@netaweb.org.

(1) The only forms of payment we accept for preregistration are credit cards (processing is handled by PayPal, but you do not need a PayPal account), and bank transfers (also via PayPal). The only forms of payment we can accept the day of the event, for those who've missed the pre-registration deadline, are cash, checks and money orders. We will not be able to accept credit or debit cards the day of the event, and we cannot accept direct bank wire transfers (or similar things, such as Western Union payments) at any time.

(2) For those persons attending whose company is sponsoring their attendance: Payment for them absolutely must be received in full in order for them to be registered and attend. If payment can not be postmarked by the deadline, they will have to pay for themselves and get directly reimbursed by their company.

(3) Anyone attending the conference, even if they are just a spouse or other "guest" of a registered attendee, must him- or herself be registered and paid in full. Also, anyone attending for less than the full day must still pay in full; no discounts are available for half-day attendance.

*Check www.netaweb.org for the final conference schedule.

**All Conference registrants, presenters, advertisers and exhibitors are invited to a wrap-up and networking session and reception following the Conference from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
